Mr Beane-

I know that this season has not gone exactly as expected.  Rich and Bobby have both lived up to their injury-prone labels.  Joe and Chad have been up and down with their pitching since the All-Star break.  Eric has been hurt more than usual.  Dan has seen his batting average drop from his terrific start.  Travis is having a nice season, but keeps getting minor injuries.  Nick hasn't progressed from last year.  Mark is still injured.  Jason got traded.  Mike didn't pan out quite like Frank did last season.  Milton had to be traded.  Bob is in his first year managing the squad.  The bullpen has blown quite a few games.  The offense can't get it going.

There are some bright spots though.  Dan has been wonderful on the mound this season.  Shannon has impressed in his comeback from last year's injury.  Kurt has handled the pressure of calling games and hitting since his call up.  Mark and Marco continue to shine on defense.  Jack Cust has been a nice power boost since coming in.  Hannahan has been a pleasant surprise.  The defense is playing very well.  Dan Meyer made his comeback start.

I do have a few questions for you though.  Why can't the team win more than half it's games at home?  Why didn't we get more than Rob Bowen out of the Milton Bradley trade?  Why didn't you go after any offensive help at the deadline?  Why is it that Rich and Bobby can't stay healthy for more than three months in a row?  Why did we just give away Esteban Loaiza?

If you could just help me through these few issues, I'm sure we could continue to have a great relationship.
