I am super bored at work right now and I am looking at the schedule for this weekend's college football games.  Since I have nothing else going on right now, I decided that I would pick the winners of all the top 25 matchups.  These are all straight-up...no spread picks:

Friday, September 28:

#5 West Virgina at #18 South Florida - Could it be another upset for USF?  I'll go ahead and say no, West Virginia continues to roll.

Saturday, September 29:

#1 USC at Washington - USC puts the Huskies down

#2 LSU at Tulane - Tigers are too much for the Green Wave

#3 Oklahoma at Colorado - The Sooners offense runs past the Buffs

Auburn at #4 Florida - Tebow and Harvin continue their multi-faceted attack and punish the Tigers

#6 Cal at #11 Oregon - My pick for game of the week.  Since I picked Cal as my team to win it all this year, I am going with the Golden Bears

Kansas State at #7 Texas - Texas hasn't impressed yet this year.  K-State pulls off the upset

#8 Ohio State at Minnesota - Not even a contest, Buckeyes all the way in this one

Michigan State at #9 Wisconsin - Tough call here.  I am going with Wisconsin since they are at home

Maryland at #10 Rutgers - Scarlet Knights add another victory to their record in this one

UMass at #12 Boston College - Why is this game even scheduled this far into the season?  BC in big fashion

#13 Clemson at Georgia Tech - Tigers avoid getting stung in Atlanta this weekend

Florida Atlantic at #14 Kentucky - Another game for the Kentucky offense to show off and for Andre Woodson to pad his stats

Mississippi at #15 Georgia - Bulldogs don't fall off after tough win against Alabama

Mississippi State at #16 South Carolina - Click Clack all over the Croom's Crew

North Carolina at #17 Virginia Tech - Butch Davis can't get his team over the hump and fall to the Hokies

#19 Hawaii at Idaho - Colt Brennan doesn't play the 4th quarter again and Hawaii wins big...again

#21 Penn State at Illinois - Juice gets spilled by the Nittany Lions' linebackers

#22 Alabama at Florida State - Bowden's boys pull out the win against Nick Satan's team

#23 Arizona State at Stanford - Jim Harbaugh's team is horrible...Sun Devils in a laugher

#24 Cincinnati at San Diego State - I like the way the Bearcats have played so far, but I am taking the Aztecs in a close one

Iowa State at #25 Nebraska - The Huskers get their focus back after three bad defensive games and take it to the Cyclones

No way Texas loses at home to K-State. Maybe if the game was in Manhattan. My pick for the big upset this week is Ole Miss. Big game for Ben-Jarvus Green-Ellis as the former Hoosier tries to solidify himself in the top-5 of the RB crop for the next NFL draft.

He has only had one game over 80 yards this season. I'm not even sure if that is top 5 in the CFL!

I'm not the projectionist. The super guru Mel Kiper Jr himself had BJGE as number 3 on his list of senior RBs when I last saw it. In checking just now, I see that Kiper has dropped him off that list. Of course it is just like Kiper to base his "projections" on current stats instead of actually looking at talent level and sticking by it over the longhaul.

You are correct. That is why I like Todd McShay of Scouts Inc.

BJGE was supposed to have a big year, but it just has not happened for him. With only 1 score so far, the expectations seem to be too much.
