Oakland has turned to another rookie for help this season.
Daric Barton, the former St. Louis Cardinal, was called up from AAA Sacramento yesterday to make his Major League debut. He was a catcher, converted to first base since arriving in Oakland.
His first game went pretty well. 2 for 3 at the plate, plus two walks. Reaching base 4 out of 5 times in your debut is a good showing. He showed patience at the plate and reached safely in his first four plate appearances. His last at bat was a line out to left field.
Other Game Notes: Kurt Suzuki and Dan Johnson both hit grand slams in the game. Suzuki is now at seven homeruns on the season, continuing his solid rookie season. Joe Blanton had his third solid outing in a row and came away with his second win in a row, giving him 13 on the year. Huston Street came in and picked up his 13th save on the season as well.

People watch sports for a ton of different reasons.
To escape from their own reality
To cheer for something
Family tradition
Togetherness
Those are just a few examples, but people watch sports for many more reasons, it just depends who you ask.
I was given the opportunity to do this website by Brian on DepressedFan.com. My name is also Arin, so that is where the name comes from.
