Dear Donovan-

I realize that you are feeling the pressure this early in the season.  It must be hard to be the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles.  With no receivers to throw to, you must feel a huge burden to do it all yourself.  I can't imagine what it is like to have the organization draft a quarterback in the second round.  I can't begin to understand what it feels like to be booed by my own fans.  I know that you are the ONLY quarterback in the league that ever gets criticized and berated in the media.  You are the ONLY quarterback that has to deal with a lack of offensive support.  No other quarterbacks in the league deal with what you deal with, EVER!

Oh wait, Peyton Manning doesTom Brady doesJake Plummer didCarson Palmer doesDan Marino did.

You might give Rex Grossman, Joey Harrington, Eli Manning, and Kerry Collins a call and see what they think.

You are not the ONLY quarterback to ever play the game.  Please DO NOT throw the race card out ever again to defend your lack of production.  DO NOT cry because your team sucks and you got booed at home, by your own fans.

I, for one, don't dislike you because of your play, I dislike you because of your commercials.

Sincerely,

The GM

I want to see the interview before I write a long post on this, but there's one thing that should be mentioned.

The interview was taped before last night's game, so it wasn't an issue of McNabb getting booed by Philly fans (that hasn't happened since he was drafted).

So does this mean I should try to trade McNabb from my fantasy football team?

I wouldn't. He isn't this bad, and neither is the team. I'm not sure he's as good as he was, or if he will be at all this year (he came back too early from the knee injury), but he's going to produce. Probably not worth what you could get for him.

I agree with Brian. I don't think he or the team is as bad as it has played. I just can't stand whiny athletes. He will bounce back with a huge game in a week or two and then Philly will love him all over again.
