I love feel-good stories.  I don't really care what they are about, but when they involve sports, the actions add a little more meaning to me.  I'm not sure how many of you have read or heard about the happenings in Lake Fenton, Michigan, but you should all take the time to read this story.  It brought a tear to my eye when I first read it.

I don't want to go into a whole lot of detail about the story because I don't want to take anything away from the article, as it is a nicely written piece.  I just wanted to reflect on what the young men sacrificed in their lives to brighten the life of another.

You don't see it often enough anymore in today's society when one person will take the time to help or share with another and it is very encouraging to me when it happens.  The fact that five young men went out of their way to give something that some people feel is so special, to another young man that was struggling for his life, says volumes about their character and what kind of people they are starting to become.  The saying "actions speak louder than words" holds true in this instance.

It is a shame that the ending of this story couldn't be happier, but in life that is how certain things go.  I've read the quote, "The time we have on this Earth, is not nearly as important as what we do with the time we are given" and I would say that everyone involved in this story has learned to use their time wisely.
