After five weeks of play, some rookies continue to shine while others are just starting to get used to life in the NFL. There were so many rookies that could be on the list this week.
My top five for this past weekend:
* Brian Leonard - The Rams rookie running back tallied 102 yards on 18 carries and 33 more on 5 receptions. It wasn't enough though as the Rams lost 34-31 to the Arizona Cardinals.
* Eric Wright - Cleveland's second round gamble has paid off nicely. Wright has 36 total tackles and three pass deflections so far this year. He had 7 total tackles this past weekend against the Patriots. The Brown's secondary only allowed Tom Brady to complete 22/38 pass attempts, but New England still won the game.
* Aaron Ross - After getting benched for the first half of Sunday's game by coach, Tom Coughlin, the former Texas Longhorn cornerback came out to play. Ross finished with two interceptions, including a 43 yard pick-six.
* Nick Folk - Dallas' kicker came through big time in Monday night's comeback. He was 4 of 4 on field goal attempts and 1 out of 1 in extra points. The big one came as time expired. 53 yards later, Dallas came away with the victory.
* Greg Olsen - The former Miami (FL) TE is starting to show why the Bears picked him in the first round. 4 catches for 57 yards and 1 TD helped Chicago come from behind and beat Green Bay.
