Another big week in college football. This one could definitely help shape the scene for the National Championship.
Thursday:
# 2 Oregon at Arizona - I am taking Dennis Dixon, his bum knee, and Oregon's running attack on the road against the Wildcats.
Friday:
# 16 Hawaii at Nevada - Once again, I'll take Hawaii in a shootout. Colt Brennan is cleared to play after a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit last week. If he doesn't play, it could be a long night for the Warriors.
Saturday:
# 1 LSU at Mississippi - Ole Miss has a horrible team, HORRIBLE. LSU on the road in this one.
Iowa State at # 3 Kansas - Kansas should blowout Iowa State. Jayhawks at home.
# 4 Oklahoma at Texas Tech - This could be a trap game for Oklahoma. Although, I am still going to take them on the road.
# 5 Missouri at Kansas State - Chase Daniel is dangerous, so are Big 12 games on the road. However, I will take Mizzou.
# 6 West Virginia at # 22 Cincinnati - Tough match up. Cincy has proven tough at home. West Virginia has proven tough period. Mountaineers need this win, I think they will get it.
# 7 Ohio State at # 21 Michigan - I've never cared about this series...still don't. Ohio State on the road. Lloyd Carr retires, Russell Crowe sells his rugby team, and everything is right in the world.
# 23 Kentucky at # 9 Georgia - The Bulldogs have gained strength as the season has gone on. Most SEC teams are tough at home and Georgia is no exception. UGA wins it.
Miami (FL) at # 10 Virginia Tech - BORING....Miami can't score and Virginia Tech's offense is no fun to watch. I'll take the Hokies at home.
Florida Atlantic at # 12 Florida - Just when Florida needed to climb back into the top 10. Gators win.
# 17 Boston College at # 15 Clemson - If Clemson wins this, shouldn't Cullen Harper be mentioned for the Heisman race? He has similar numbers to Matt Ryan. Tigers win at home.
Idaho at # 18 Boise State - Broncos don't lose on the Smurt Turf.
Northwestern at # 19 Illinois - The Illini could suffer from victory hangover from last week. However, Northwestern has given up several leads this year. Illini at home.
Vanderbilt at # 20 Tennessee - Vols at home. Philly F keeps his job.
Syracuse at # 24 UCONN - UCONN at home...Syracuse needs basketball season to heat up quickly.
# 25 Wisconsin at Minnesota - The Badgers should win this one in big fashion. Minny can't defend anyone.
BONUS GAME:
Oaken Bucket Game - Purdue at Indiana - Although I would like to see IU win and go to a bowl, I don't think it is likely to happen. Purdue has a very good spread offense and IU has some holes in the secondary. Purdue keeps the bucket and IU misses out on that 13th game.
