I've been listening all day to the "experts" talk about this weekend's game and all I can think is, "I don't even care anymore who wins." I seriously don't. Of course, as a fan of the Colts, I would like to see them win, but I am not going to go run into a wall if they lose, I'm not going to cash in my all my assets and go on a spending spree before I off myself. It is one game in the middle of the season. The only thing that it can determine right now, is who is going to stay undefeated until next week. I've heard that the Colts are going to lose this game so many times this week, that I started to believe it a little. It's like telling a lie, eventually it becomes the truth. I snapped out of it and I am back to thinking the Colts will win. But what if....
Tony Ugoh and Marvin Harrison might not play. GOOD! Keep them out of the game. As a matter of fact, rest the starters this week. New England obviously needs this game to feel better about the loss of last year, so let's give it to them, literally. Let's just line up our backups and play the game in pre-season mode. This is only week eight and we have already had our bye week. Let's just rest up for a strong second half. I think if we were to sit our players, the relevancy of this game goes right out the window. All the hype, all the hoopla...gone quicker than Tom Brady can get a girl pregnant.
I've noticed that, like always, the Colts' organization is keeping quiet, not adding to the circus atmosphere of this week. I also noticed that the Patriots' organization is not talking much either. I think that both teams are equally jacked up for it, but they both know that it is just ONE game during the REGULAR SEASON. I doubt anyone wants to say something and end up as bulletin-board material for the other team to add to the fire. You can attribute that to the coaches, whether you like them or not.
Seriously, as a fan, I am ready for this weekend to be over and for the rest of the season to begin. We have beaten New England three times in a row, they are due for a win. It's like playing basketball against your little brother, eventually he will win one. That is how it was when we FINALLY got over the hump and beat them a couple years back. Streaks are just that...streaks. You win a few, you lose a few, and if you are good, then you get back to winning.
Ok, my rant is done. GO COLTS!!

I think you forget that home field advantage was probably on the line in this game. Although the Colts have won at Foxboro and the Pats have won @ Indy, you can't underestimate the importance of having the home crowd behind you in the AFC Championship Game.
