What a game last night.  The Pacers started off their season with a thrilling victory over the Washington Wizards in over time.

With a 103 - 100 lead with 6 seconds left, Gilbert Arenas stepped up and tied the game as the clock expired to send it to OT.  The Pacers did not fold though.  They came through with three big shots in the extra period.  Mike Dunleavy (pictured to the left) ended the game with 25 points and 12 rebounds, hit a huge three at the beginning of OT.  Then Danny Granger, 20 points and 13 boards, knocked down a trey as Jamal Tinsley found him on the wing after being double teamed.

Indiana outscored Washington 16-7 in the extra session.  Jamal Tinsley ended up with 20 points, 9 boards, and 8 assists.  For the complete box score, go here.

Jermaine O'Neal, Troy Murphy, and Shawne Williams sat out the game with their injuries.

Fun Fact:  Indiana leads the NBA in scoring!

Player of the Game:  Jamal Tinsley - with a near triple double, he guided the team to this victory.  Dunleavy and Granger could also have this POG nod.

Record: 1 - 0

What's this picture about? Is he taking a shot? Did he just finish taking a shot and about to throw up? I'm so confused.

Maybe the Pacers are going to be worth watching this year...maybe.

By my math, the Pacers will only win 18 more games the rest of the year :)
