Tuesday night marked the fourth loss in a row for the Pacers. Boston came into town undefeated and they left it the same way, improving to 6 - 0 on the young season.
Poor shooting and good team defense from Boston doomed the Pacers. Indiana shot 35% from the floor and had the ball stolen from them 12 times throughout the game. There was period of eight minutes in the second quarter that Indiana shot 3 of 16 and commited 7 turnovers. Boston outscored Indiana by two in the first, then increased the lead to nine at the end of the first half. They then jumped that up to 11 at the end of the third and ended the evening by outscoring the Pacers by four in the final period. Both benches played well with Boston outscoring Indiana 25 - 24.
Danny Granger was the lone bright spot for Indiana. He finished with 24 points on 8 of 10 shooting, including 5 of 5 from long range. Granger also grabbed 7 rebounds.
Player of the Game: Granger - only starter to hit more than a third of his shots.
