This past weekend was a very busy one for me.  Friday night I was fortunate enough to go to see Dane Cook perform live at Conseco Fieldhouse (courtesy of the graphics department aka The GF).  Saturday and Sunday were filled with work and that was about it.

Friday night, the Pacers traveled to Charlotte for an outing with the Bobcats.  Indiana had the lead by three at the half and were ahead by eight at the end of the third quarter.  The fourth quarter, however, was a different story.  Outscored 31 - 14, Indiana saw their eight point lead turn into a nine point loss.  The key factor to the loss was basically allowing Emeka Okafor to go off for 25 points and 23 boards, including 7 offensive boards.  Jermaine O'Neal lead the Pacers with 18 points and 8 rebounds.  Score:  96 - 87

Saturday night was pretty much a repeat of Friday night.  Denver was in town to duke it out and Indiana was going to have to bounce back from that horrible fourth quarter the night before.  And, they did bounce back, scoring 46 points in the first quarter and they took an 18 point lead into the half.  BUT, once again, the second half was a different story.  Indiana was outscored 26 - 14 in the third quarter and then outscored 31 - 18 in the final 12 minutes.  Poor outside shooting (9 - 30) and free throw shooting (13 - 24) were contributing factors in this loss.  Three players on each team had triple-doubles.  Score:  113 - 106

Record:  3 - 3

Next Game:  Tuesday, November 13th - Boston (5 - 0)  TV:  Fox Sports Indiana / NBA League Pass

I was able to afford the tickets with the generous salary you give me, boss man.
