Here we are, ten games into the NBA season and a lot has been discovered about what kind of team this is going to be.

  • Defense isn't a strength of this team, which means...
  • Poor shooting nights will get us blown out, we have poor shooting because...
  • We rely way too much on the jumper.  Even Jermaine O'Neal is floating around the 15 to 17 foot range....
  • Rebounding is a struggle right now
Friday night took the Pacers up to Toronto for a Quebec-quois rendezvous.  Both teams played well, but neither ever had that stretch run to where they just took over the game.  The game really came down to about four or five possessions that made the difference in this game.  The loss was Indiana's sixth loss in a row and I was close to running myself into a wall.  Indiana was led by Troy Murphy who had 20 points off the bench.  Final Score:  Indiana 101 - Toronto 110.

Saturday night was a bit of a different story for Indiana.  They shot 57% from the floor and only let two Utah players break into double digits.  Mike Dunleavy led the team in scoring with 25 points.  Danny Granger followed with 19.  Shawne Williams came off the bench to score 16 points and grab 8 rebound, while Marquis Daniels came back after sitting out the Toronto game to score 17 points.  Final Score:  Indiana 117 - Utah 97.

Check out the standings and see where your team sits.  Also, if the playoffs started today, where do they stand...

Not so Fun Fact:  Jermaine O'Neal is averaging 13 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, and 1.6 blocks.  Not his normal output.  He needs to step it up.

Record:  4 - 6

Next Game:  Tonight, 7PM vs. Los Angeles Lakers  TV:  Fox Sports Indiana / NBA League Pass
