Here are a couple more questions from the round table discussion. The first two are from Rickhouse and the second two are from Jack Cobra.
You’re team has some nice parts in Jermaine O’Neal, Danny Granger, and even Mike Dunleavy, but is in desperate need of a go-to perimeter scorer. That being said, as a Pacers fan, would you be upset if you’re team got off to a bad start and then tanked the season. With OJ Mayo, Eric Gordon, Michael Beasley, and a facilitator like Derrick Rose all likely in this upcoming draft class, how would you feel if Indiana lost on purpose (assuming they don’t continue to play as well as they have so far.)
As far as a perimeter scorer goes, I was hoping that a guy like Eddie House would have been signed this past off season. Instead, we signed Kareem Rush and Travis Diener, both of whom can shoot the ball, but are primarily bench players. Not a problem though. Shawne Williams, Danny Granger, and Mike Dunleavy have all improved their outside shooting this season, so I do hope that continues. As far as tanking goes, I'd personally hate to see it, because that means I'd have to watch and write about crappy basketball the rest of the season. I'm not sold on any of the players you mentioned above, just for the fact that I've not seen any play in college yet. A couple guys that I do like though are Roy Hibbert, Brandon Rush, Chase Buddinger, Ty Lawson, and Bill Walker.
Danny Granger was a guy I like a lot coming out of New Mexico. How good can he be, and what has he showed you since arriving in Indiana?
I think that Granger can be a top 10 scorer in this league. He has the mindset that will allow him to keep learning and he already has shown that he is willing to work on improving himself on offense and defense. He just earned the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the first week of the season and I wouldn't be surprised if he won a few more before the year is up. I also liked him coming out of college and I was SHOCKED that he fell to us at pick 17. It is interesting to me that current teammate, Ike Diogu, was picked ahead of Granger. Many people have compared Granger's game to that of Shawn Marion and Scottie Pippen. I'll gladly take a mixture of both!
Can you give me definitive proof that Danny Granger isn't an alien? I look at that guys head and he just looks like one of those characters on Men In Black.

Jack, I've heard some say that his game is "otherworldly". This is the picture that the NBPA has on file for Granger. Hope it helps. Is it a coincidence that he played at New Mexico?
With his shoulder as brittle as...peanut brittle, how many games does Jermaine O'Neal sit out miss this season?
I am going to go with 20 games missed. Although, he did play with a bad knee most of last year, so he is willing to play hurt. Whether it is smart or not is another story. I'll take 62 games from him though, as long as Foster, Harrison, Diogu, and Murphy decide to show up on the nights he doesn't play.

Yes, credit goes to the GF, aka, the graphics department
What..? No credit in the blog? Thank you Jack Cobra for thinking of me before my insensitive boyfriend!
I don't have to be your boyfriend if my insensitivity bothers you that much.
I'm told I'm "barely hot enough to be with her" anyway!

That's actually a pretty funny picture. I didn't know he had blue eyes. I'm going to have to give you...or your gf, credit for making that.
