I just got done watching the Pacers play the Knicks, thanks to DVR. The score of this game was very misleading. When I saw that Indiana won 119 to 92, I assumed it was just a blowout. Instead, when I watched the replay, I realized that this game was tied at 64 at one point. There were three main factors that lead to this win:
* Mike Dunleavy had a career high 36 points on 13-18 shooting. He now leads the team in scoring and is shooting 48.8% from the floor and 42.4% from three point range.
* Indiana shot 58% from the field
* New York missed 20 straight shots, which lead to 38% shooting for the night
I am currently watching Sports Center and they are making fun of the Knicks for quitting on defense throughout the game. Wow, why a coach would allow a guy to stay on the floor after quitting time after time is beyond me.
This win for Indiana put them at 13-12 for the season and the win marked the first time they have been over .500 since starting the season 3-0. Tonight they take on the 76ers back home at Conseco Fieldhouse, in wonderful, downtown Indianapolis.

We say the right things but we don’t gut it out for 48 minutes. We don’t grind, we don’t compete like we should for 48 minutes tonight. A lot of things can be said about me and the teams that I coached and the way I played, but I have never been excused of not having heart or competing. Tonight was very discouraging to me because we didn’t collectively play with heart and compete like I know I do.” - Isiah ThomasMaybe, just maybe it is time for a coaching change in New York. They have all the talent in the world, but they don't produce. Zach Randolph was brought in to win, that hasn't happened. Team chemistry seemed to be lacking, frustration levels were rising, and Thomas just sat there. I thought I was watching Mike Davis coach the Indiana Hoosiers again.

It is indeed...and I'm a genius! Thanks for that correction!
The bad thing about that quote is that I just copied and pasted it, so he actually said it...or the person that transcribed it messed up...I'm going with Ike said it that way.

The Sixers game is tomorrow night, unfortunately.
This quote cracks me up: "I have never been excused of not having heart or competing."
He may never have been excused of it, but I'm accusing his team right now. They are a disgrace to the sport.
