Last night, Indiana continued their extended road trip to visit the Utah Jazz.  Struggling for the beginning of 2008, Indiana was hoping to come away with a win and hopefully some momentum going into a tough game with Phoenix.  What they came away with was a good, old-fashioned, ass-whoopin.  The final score was 111-89 in favor of the Jazz.

Indiana was never in the game as Utah came out on fire and the Pacers did all they could to help fuel that fire by throwing the ball away and playing matador defense...OLE'!!  The Pacers ended the game with 25 turnovers.  Utah turned those into 28 points.

Indiana was lead by Danny Granger with 17 points, but only two other Pacers scored in double figures.  Mike Dunleavy had 12 points and Jamal Tinsley scored 13.

The loss dropped Indiana to 16-20 on the season and they are currently sitting at 9th place in the Eastern Conference.  However, they are only 2 1/2 games behind the fourth place team in the East, Washington.

Tonight they are taking on the Phoenix Suns and they really need to establish some scoring in the paint early and often.  With that being accomplished, the three point shots will be wide open.  After tonight, the Pacers still have six more road games this month and only three at home.  They really need to get some of these road wins under their belt.
