dun.jpgFirst off, let me apologize for my absence lately.  I am just staying on top of my school work and it is kicking my butt, but I am getting control of it.

As the title of the article states, the Indiana Pacers have now lost their fourth game in a row.  It all started with a horrible showing in Chicago.  In a game that Danny Granger puts up a career-high in points, Kirk Hinrich tops him...ouch!  The next game, in Milwaukee, was closely contested, until the fourth quarter.  Michael Redd went off for 37 points, making it two games in a row that the opposing team had someone go for more than 30.  The third game of the losing streak was probably the worst game I've ever seen at any level of basketball.  Indiana somehow managed to lose to the Miami Heat.  The same Miami Heat that had previously lost 15 games in a row.  Dwayne Wade scored a game high 35 making it three games in a row with an opposing player dropping 30 or more against the Pacers.  Finally, last night, Indiana lost to the Detroit Pistons.  I'm not too upset at this loss, but when you are up nine on a team at the end of the first quarter and up by double digits with 3 minutes to go in the first half, I expect to win.  However, that did not happen.  Detroit actually took the lead by two at the half and ended up winning by six.

Indiana is now 19 - 27 on the season.  They are playing the same way they have played all season, but they just can't get the stops that are needed to pull out the victories.  When leading, they have a hard time securing the lead and let too many close games turn into L's in the record book.

I would love to see this team make the playoffs just so all the "experts" that gave them no chance can eat their words, but I am also looking at the upcoming draft and want the best possible situation for the long run.  It is certainly a conundrum when rooting for this team!
