This is the face I made last night as I watched the officials steal a game from the Indiana Pacers. The 106-97 final score doesn't accurately depict how good this game was. With the score tied at 92, Danny Granger caught the ball in the lane on a fastbreak and went up for the dunk...it was going to be a posterizer...then out of nowhere Larry Hughes flies into the screen and hammers Granger. Sweet, two shots and the chance to take the lead...OH, BUT WAIT...NO FOUL WAS CALLED! Granger couldn't believe it, Jim O'Brien couldn't believe it, the crowd couldn't believe it, I couldn't believe it, hell, Larry Hughes quit on the play because he thought he was going to be called for a foul. BUT, there was no foul called. On the next play, Granger is called for a foul on Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Granger was then given a technical as he shouted out, "This is BULLSHIT!" He was right, it was...the game was lost at that point.
Granger lead the team with 30 points, but it wasn't enough to counter LeBron James' triple double (31,14,12) and Ilgauskas' 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Indiana is now 21-33 and play New Jersey on Friday (in Indianapolis) and Saturday (in New Jersey).
