Indiana split a pair of games with the New Jersey Nets on Friday and Saturday. The home team won both times. Indiana won the Friday night game by a final of 113-103, while the Nets won the Saturday night game 102-91.
On Friday night, Mike Dunleavy came out on fire and scored 34 points, leading seven Pacers in double figure scoring. Indiana continued the theme of allowing athletic wing players expose them, as Richard Jefferson scored 34 points and Bostjan Nachbar added 22. Vince Carter was pretty passive and gave way to Jefferson for most of the night. Danny Granger also ended his streak of 65 consecutive free throws made, which I believe is the fifth longest streak ever for the NBA.
Saturday night was a reversal of fortunes for Indiana. The shots that were falling on Friday night, were not falling on Saturday night. Richard Jefferson continued his outstanding play and scored a game high 36 points. Josh Boone scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Indiana was lead by Danny Granger's 29 points and Mike Dunleavy's 19. Indiana was out-rebounded 57 to 33 on the night.
Indiana is now 22-34 on the season. They play Toronto tonight, Chicago Wednesday night, and then travel to Toronto for a game on Friday night.
