flip.jpgOn Saturday afternoon, the Pacers signed Ronald "Flip" Murray.  Murray was previously released by the Detroit Pistons around the trade deadline.

Murray, 28 years old (born exactly one year before me), has been known as an offensive minded player since he came into the league.  He rarely sees a shot that he doesn't like.

That being said, I think that this is a pretty good signing for the Pacers.  Murray adds another player off the bench that can add some instant offense, and with the Pacers reluctant to play ANY defense, more offense is needed.

In his first game on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks, Murray played 8 minutes.  He scored 4 points and had 1 steal and 1 assist.  Nothing major, but he put up 3 shots and had 1 free throw attempt in that 8 minutes.  He definitely came in thinking that he could contribute on the offensive end.

I think that the bench rotation should be Ike Diogu, Shawne Williams, Marquis Daniels, Kareem Rush, and Murray.  In the games that Rush and Daniels start, Troy Murphy and Travis Diener would then come off the bench.
