I just got done watching the A's and Angels play their series opener on MLB.COM and I can't really believe what I witnessed. Oakland absolutely busted out the whoopin' sticks and beat the Angels by a final of 14-2.
The Athletics had 16 hits on the night and everyone that had an at-bat had a hit, except for Bobby Crosby. I'm not even sure who stuck out the most on offense. I could go with:
Now Oakland sits at 17-10 and they own first place in the AL West for the time being. Three more games to go in the series. I would be thrilled if they did this in each game of the series. Is this team for real or am I dreaming?

Frank Thomas: 3-for-3 - triple, double, single, 2 rbi - That's right, I said triple!Or, I could go with Chad Gaudin. He pitched a very solid game this evening. He gave up a solo shot to Mike Napoli, which would have been the only run he gave up, but he threw a ball away and allowed Torii Hunter to advance from first to third on the error. Hunter scored on a single by Robb Quinlan.
Mark Ellis: 3-for-5 - double, 2 singles, 2 runs
Daric Barton: 2-for-6 - 3 run HR, single
Emil Brown: 1-for-4 - 2 run HR, 3 total rbi
