I'd just like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the men and women of the armed forces scattered across the world.

I know that this is a sports blog, but I figured that since I have the public forum to say what I please, I'll go ahead and use it for this purpose today.

I have been a member of the Air Force Reserves for the past 6 1/2 years and I've enjoyed it for the most part.  I've seen my fair share of good and bad, but not nearly as much as the men and women that paved the way long before me.

It is important to me to remember where I've been and where I came from.  My grandfather was a member of the Air Force from 1950-1952, a career cut short so he could come home and help his family in a time of need.  I admire, respect, and love my grandfather for doing his time and knowing when it was time to come home.

It only takes a second to say "thank you", so please support our troops, past, present, and future, and tell them thank you for what they do for you, me, and the rest of this wonderful country.
