This Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts held an open house for fans to come and tour the new Lucas Oil Stadium.  A friend of mine, who I'll just call Chief, went and he sent me a bunch of his pictures from the experience.  I'll only post a few since I'm not sure how to put them into a slide show on here.  Enjoy after the jump:

Both pictures here are looking out of Lucas Oil Stadium into the city.  The picture on the left is of the RCA Dome from LOS.  It will be taken down by wrecking ball I'm told.  I wonder how much the pieces of the wreckage will sell for.

The picture on the left is a view from the top level down to the field.  The one on the right is a picture of the window looking out into the downtown area.

Window Open.JPGThis is a picture of the window in the previous picture, but it is now open.

Overall the stadium looks pretty impressive on the inside and out.  It pretty much dwarfs everything else in the downtown area and it makes the RCA Dome look like a cupcake standing next to it.

I have been sent plenty more pictures, so I will most likely post those up later.  Plenty of views of the roof opening and when it was shut.

I can't imagine what the crowd is going to be like for the home opener.  In the RCA Dome, the stadium felt like it shook when the crowd got pumped.  I can't wait to hear inside the new stadium.  Look for more later!

I've got some pics on my camera from Sunday. I'll see if I can't hook it up as well. One thing's for sure...the Terrace Level is a mile high and it is steep. Going to take some getting used to!!
