Here we are in week 3 of the college football season and there a few games this weekend that are very big. A few games could decide which teams will be in the Championship game this season.
#1 USC vs #5 Ohio State - I have USC all the way in this one. I watched Lou Holtz spit and stutter over Beanie Wells name about 5,000 times yesterday, but I don't think Wells is going to matter in this one. Trojans at home.
#2 Georgia at South Carolina - Georgia could really get tripped up here against the other USC. I'm still going to take the Bulldogs in this one.
#3 Oklahoma at Washington - Another tough road game this weekend. Washington is furious about the way they lost last weekend. Does that carry over this weekend? Eh, I think Oklahoma will outlast the Huskies.
#6 Missouri vs Nevada - Tigers are looking TOUGH so far. I'll go with them at home.
#7 LSU vs North Texas - More Tigers, more winning.
#8 Texas vs Arkansas - I believe this game is postponed, but I'd take Texas if they play.
#9 Auburn vs Mississippi State - Croom's Crew could take the Tigers down, but I'm sticking with the Tiger theme, Auburn wins.
#10 Wisconsin at #21 Fresno State - Big game for both schools. Fresno could use this game as a boost into BCS Bowl contention and Wisconsin could use this one to maybe steal a spot in the title game. I'm taking Fresno with the upset here.
#11 Alabama vs Western Kentucky - Tide will roll in this one.
#12 Texas Tech vs SMU - June Jones has not had an easy go of it so far this season. Red Raiders shoot down the Mustangs.
#13 Kansas at #19 South Florida - The folks at ESPN have a treat of a game for Friday night! I am going to take Kansas in this one. I didn't like the way USF looked in their last game.
#14 East Carolina vs Tulane - I expect the Pirates to come out a bit flat in this game. They will pull it out though.
#15 Arizona State vs UNLV - Sun Devils win at home. UNLV's program has really hit hard times.
#16 Oregon at Purdue - I like the Ducks, but I have Purdue pulling it out at home.
#17 Penn State at Syracuse - Has Syracuse won a meaningful game this decade? Lions in this one.
#18 BYU vs UCLA - I'm taking the Bruins. I just like the way Ricky Neu has the program looking.
#22 Utah at Utah State - Utes big time in this one. Should be a blowout.
#23 California at Maryland - Terps pull off the upset in this one.
#24 Illinois vs Louisiana-Lafayette - Juice and Co should make this one a sleeper by the half.
