The Colts were active during the trade deadline today and came up with some help for the defensive line.  According to ESPN, the Colts sent an undisclosed draft pick to Buffalo for former 1st round pick, John McCargo.  According to Adam Schefter (NFL Network), that undisclosed pick is actually a 4th rounder next year.

I think that if McCargo can just add anything positive against the run, then this is a win for the Colts.  I don't really see this as a high risk - high reward scenario, because Indianapolis only gave up a 4th rounder.

McCargo was an absolute beast in college as he teamed up with Mario Williams and Manny Lawson at North Carolina State.  He certainly had the talent coming into the league and he hasn't really lived up to that 1st round billing, so if he can scratch even a little bit of that, then this could be a nice trade for Indy.

*Sidenote:  How the hell did the Cowboys add Roy Williams to that team?  The Cowboys paid dearly though.  They gave the Lions 1st, 3rd, and 6th round picks this next draft and a 7th rounder in 2010.  WOW!
