Well, it looks as though Lute Olson had an EXCELLENT reason to retire after all.  According to his physician, Olson was urged to retire due to a recent stroke.

Now that I feel a bit selfish for not wanting Coach Olson to leave, I will say that I hope he has a healthy, full recovery. 

According to the Doc, Olson's stroke was in the front part of the brain and it caused the Silver Fox to go through a severe bout of depression.  Yikes!  However, it did not damage any of his motor skills or intellectual thought, which is very fortunate.

Still a little bummed that things turned out the way they did, but I am quite a bit more understanding due to the fact that he retired for health reasons.

Now, let's go get Knight...Coach Knight and hold this season together for the next coach!
