Here it is, opening night for the Indiana Pacers.  The slate has been wiped clean and so has the roster for the most part.  Larry Bird and David Morway have carried out the promise of getting rid of the "bad apples" and now we get to see exactly what kind of product they have in store for us.  Starting off the season against Detroit tonight, then welcoming the Boston Celtics in to town for the home opener will be no easy task.

It looks like Indiana will be without Mike Dunleavy Jr (and Sr for that matter) due to the tendonitis in his knee.  So, stepping into the starting role is Marquis Daniels.  Daniels had a superb exhibition season and you can tell that his time spent with Mark Price this offseason has paid off in a great way.

Here are the probable starters for tonight's game, courtesy of Pacers' Sports and Entertainment:

Pacers
G - #5 Ford
G - #6 Daniels
F - #33 Granger
F - #3 Murphy
C - #8 Nesterovic

 Pistons
G - #1 Billups
G - #32 Hamilton
F - #22 Prince
F - #25 Johnson
C - #30 Wallace
