grangerteeth.jpgI've been searching all morning for the picture of Danny Granger with his two front teeth missing.  Why am I looking for it?  Not because I want to make fun or to try and disgust anyone, but to make a point about the type of player he is.

Granger and Paul Pierce were going for a lose ball in the fourth quarter of last night's game and when they dove, Pierce came down on Granger's head and in turn, busted out his teeth.  When he got up, he flashed his new dental work to Jim O'Brien and ran off the court.  After the commercial break, Granger was back in the game to finish it up!  Now, not many players would stick around after that, but Granger did and I think that shows exactly how much he loves the game and the type of leader he is on he court.

noteeth.jpgBack to the game highlights.  I had talked about the match up between TJ Ford and Rajon Rondo being the key and I was pretty spot on with it.  Ford drew three fouls on Rondo in the first half and Doc Rivers decided to roll the dice and keep him in, but then Ford got Rondo to pick up his fourth foul with just a few minutes left in the first half.

Ford finished with 19 points, while Granger scored a game high of 20 points.  Marquis Daniels got the start and finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Not only did the Pacers have a balanced offensive attack, they also had a ton of defensive balance.  Indiana finished with nine steals and eight blocks, but the big number on the night was 24.  The Pacers helped cause 24 Boston turnovers.

It was a very satisfying win for me, especially since it was against Boston, but I still see this team playing even better this season.  When Mike Dunleavy comes back, the offense will flow even smoother.

Indiana plays again on Wednesday at home against Phoenix, so we will see how the Pacers' interior defense is going to look.

Pacers will make the playoffs. I don't understand why so many people think they are one of the worst teams in the league, but whatever.

I don't get it either, but then again, they COULD be the worst team in the league and I'd never admit it.

However, I think that the playoffs are in store for this team, this season.
