Indiana played two games this weekend.  On Friday night, they lost to Cleveland, at Cleveland by a score of 111 to 107.  The Pacers jumped out to the lead as they have in every game this season and just like every game this season, they didn't close it out.  It was very frustrating to watch Anderson Varejao look like an all-star when he is just an energy guy.  If LeBron and Varejao were rappers, LeBron would be the star and AV would be the hype man that gets all the second hand groupies.  What to take away from this game:  Roy Hibbert had 11 points and nine boards and fouled out of the game.  He slowed down enough on the offensive end to put together a few nice moves and even had a dunk tip.  Well, if you can call a 7-footer catching a rebound in the air and dunking it a tip, then that is what he did.  Hibbert also displayed some nice passing skills in the game.

Moving on to Saturday night, the Pacers came back to Indianapolis for a game with the Nets.  Devin Harris did not play and I never really heard why, but either way, the Pacers won 98-80.  Vince Carter went off for 31, but Keyon Dooling was the only other Nets' player that scored double figures with 17 points.  What to take away from this game:  Both Jeff Foster (12 points and 13 rebounds) and Troy Murphy (17 points and 10 rebounds) had double-doubles for Indiana.  With New Jersey's youth on the frontcourt, they showed the youngsters what it takes to play on the blocks.  Also, TJ Ford just missed a triple-double.  Ford compiled 13 points, 9 assists, and 9 rebounds during the game.  He has really been great for this team early on this season.

With Indiana going 1-1 on the weekend, their current record sits at 2-3 after five games.  They have a game tonight against the OK City Thunder at home in Conseco Fieldhouse.

What to take away from the weekend:  Danny Granger
