For a franchise that has been around since 1980, they have made some historically good picks (Rolando Blackman, Mark Aguirre, Kiki, Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, and Jason Kidd) and some historically bad picks (Doug Smith, Jim Farmer, Uwe Blab!!), but the key to being a successful franchise is being on the plus side more often than the negative side in the draft. It is all a roll of the dice for the most part anyway.
I was originally going to go with Doug Smith as the worst, but I took a look at that draft class and there wasn't a whole lot to compete with, so Smith wasn't a bad pick at the time. He was just on the negative side of the draft equation.
So....I went with gem of the 1995 draft class. Pick number 12, Duke's own, Cherokee Parks! Just saying his name makes me think of that Jay Leno-esque chin of his and all of the colorful tattoos that would adorn his arm sleeves as his "career" progressed. Just take a look at that picture and if it doesn't invoke some sort of envious feeling, then you have something wrong with yourself then you are a normal person!
Although, in the end, he got paid and apparently this girl too. I salute you Mr. Cherokee Parks. You are a dirty individual Mr. Cherokee Parks.
