It looks like the Wizards, Hornets, and Grizzlies felt like they needed to shake up their teams by trading away their most-least valuable players.  The Grizzlies are the Oakland A's of the NBA...they are in continual rebuilding mode.  New Orleans is looking for...not Mike James and Washington wanted to...cut Dee Brown indirectly.  Here is how the trade shapes up:

Washington gets:  Javaris Crittendon and Mike James

New Orleans gets:  Antonio Daniels

Memphis gets:  future 1st round pick

Actually, it isn't a bad trade for any of the teams, but it just isn't a trade of blockbuster caliber.  I think the Hornets probably get the best deal out of the whole thing by adding Daniels, who is a capable backup in the NBA. 

I'd say that the Grizzlies got the better end of the trade, but I just have a feeling that they are going to use the pick on the second coming of Sergei Bazarevich.
