I'm sitting here watching the game and the main story of the night is going to be how TJ Ford/Rasho Nesterovic/Jermaine O'Neal play against their old teams. However, I think the story so far is how terribly cold the Pacers are from the floor in this first quarter. It is ridiculous how bad these guys are shooting. They aren't even taking good shots at this point. Let me get to some game notes:
First Quarter:
* Looks like both coaches wanted to let the Graham brothers get some PT against each other and apparently both Stephen and Joey felt the need to force up poor shots.
* Danny Granger started 0-6 from the floor, but got a put back on a missed wide-open layup by Jarrett Jack. Awesome Jarrett, AWESOME!
* Rasho Nesterovic is one of the best passing bigs in the league. I'll keep saying it.
* Toronto is a long team.

Second Quarter:
* Who the heck is Roko Ukic??
* Danny Granger gets a lot of blocks on fastbreak opportunities. I was always told to finish strong. Guess that doesn't matter in the NBA!
* Granger blows a layup (great!), Troy Murphy steals the ball and throws a pass that Jimmy Claussen would be envious of back to Granger and he gets the dunk. Indiana on a mini 7-0 run and Toronto takes a TO!
* The little "Pacers Text Poll" for the night: Who got the better end of the TJ Ford / Jermaine O'Neal trade? Is it even a question??? Pacers in a landslide. UPDATE: 93% to 7% in favor of the Pacers.
* Chris Bosh is a beast and if you can't appreciate his skills, then you don't know basketball!
* Indiana is really starting to heat up after their 6 of 25 first quarter shooting.
* Just saw that Charlotte and Phoenix made a trade. Certainly a bit more of a blockbuster than the earlier trade today.
* Toronto on their own run now...10-0 now...forces an Indiana TO. Why is Josh McRoberts in the game?? And why doesn't Jason Kapono shoot anything but threes? Oh wait, nevermind, he is shooting 50% from out there...again. He's only 27? I swear he is a vampire, because it seems he hasn't aged in 10 years.
* Indiana FINALLY stops the run at 14 points with a Marquis Daniels two...Joey Graham is getting the better of Stephen. Two nice buckets for JG and two questionable offensive fouls from SG. Take him out JOB!!!!
* Just flipped it over to ESPN to see if the Cleveland/Philly game tipped yet and I heard that Andre Iguodala is shooting 62% inside 5ft and only 31% outside 5ft...OUCH!!
* Murphy has 10 boards in the first half...he really has impressed me this season.
* Murphy hits another three and Indiana is on a 9-2 run. 11 points and 11 boards before the half!
* Granger is 4-14 from the floor...can I push the reset button?
* Chris Bosh just hit an NBA Jams type fade away to beat the buzzer at the half. Pacers down by six at the half. 51-45 Toronto. Guess it could be worse for only shooting 35% for the half. Indiana will make their runs in the 2nd half.
Third Quarter:
* The third quarter has started off the same as the first for the Pacers....COLD!
* Indiana pushed back with three easy buckets and then Jason Kapono splashes another three! I think that is 18 points for him right now.
* Just so cold tonight. Wide open shots are not going down. Pretty frustrating.
* This is crazy....no shots are going in and now the refs are starting to pile the calls on the Pacers. Always seems to work that way.
* Troy Murphy is trying to keep Indiana in the game, but can't do it on his own.
* Only 7-for-21 now in this third quarter
* Brandon Rush has come in and provided a bit of a boost. Pacers down only 6 now after trailing by 14 and they will get the ball after the TO break.
* Another run by Toronto and another buzzer beater. Trailing by 12 going into the 4th isn't a good thing.
Fourth Quarter:
* Why do the refs need to enforce the traveling rule in the 4th quarter of a game that they haven't been calling it the first three quarters? So stupid.
* And there is another...back to back travel calls....
* Daniels clearly traveled on his way to the bucket, but no call
* JO with an offensive foul, no call on this one either! WOW
* Kapono is on fire tonight...22 points
* Granger is just ice cold...has a lot to do with the Pacers only having 70 points with 8 minutes left.
* This game is pretty much over. Down 16 after another Kapono three. I'm disgusted and i think I'm done with this game. GOOD NIGHT PACERLAND!
