Mike Dunleavy is set to return to the lineup for the Pacers tonight in Phoenix.  After missing the first 34 games of the season, it looks like his injured knee is fully healed and he is ready to help this team pull out some victories.

I can't believe I'm this excited about Mike Dunleavy, but I am.  I think my fandom with Dunleavy has come full circle now.  When he first came over to Indiana with Troy Murphy and Ike Diogu in the Stephen Jackson/Al Harrington trade, I wasn't a fan of his.  After last season, I was pretty pleased with his efforts and his contributions to the team.  Now...I"M EXCITED ABOUT MIKE DUNLEAVY??!!??

I don't expect this team to do a 180 and reel off about 20 wins in a row, but I do expect them to not give up as many games in the end as they have already.  His experience and shooting will allow the team to rely on someone other than Danny Granger for that scoring spark.  Don't get me wrong, I think Granger is an absolutely amazing talent in this league, but every Green Hornet needs his Kato.

Speaking of Granger, this is what pisses me off about All-Star voting:

Forwards
Player

Votes

LeBron James (Clev)

1,521,272

Kevin Garnett (Bos)

1,101,541

Yi Jianlian (NJ)

959,324

Chris Bosh (Tor)

601,204

Paul Pierce (Bos)

387,105

Hedo Turkoglu (Orl)

236,360

Shawn Marion (Mia)

230,119

Danny Granger (Ind)

155,484

Josh Smith (Atl)

131,281

Michael Beasley (Mia)

121,632

These results were as of January 1st.  How can anyone justify Yi being third in voting and Hedo Turkoglu and Shawn Marion having more votes than Granger???  There is not one rational argument for it and I won't listen to any of this crap about Hedo and Marion's contributions to their teams.  THEY ARE NOT ALL-STARS!  If Danny Granger was 5th behind LBJ, KG, Chris Bosh, and Paul Pierce, I could understand him not being selected.  But, when he is 8th?  The system needs fixed.

Currently Indiana sits at 12-22 and four games behind Milwaukee (HUH??) for the 8th spot in the East.  Whether they make it or not, they are not the second worst team in their conference, despite their record.

It is those Chinese. There are billions of them.

How did Dunleavy look? It is good to see the Pacers are approaching full health.
