The other day, Jack Cobra was nice enough to drop some NBA prospect knowledge on us and today, I am going to attempt to do the same. I am going to cover some of the same players that he did, but I will also throw my two cents on some other players as well.
Continue on after the jump to get my thoughts.

Guys that I like:
- James Harden - I feel like he can be a capable scorer if on the right team. Teams like the Knicks, Pacers, Warriors, and Suns would benefit from his slashing skills.
- Greg Monroe - Again, on the right team, he can be a very good player. However, I think it will take him two years in the NBA to get used to the physical nature of play. Maybe another year of college and some heavy lifting is in order.
- Austin Daye - The smooth forward from Gonzaga reminds me a bit of Shawn Marion. At 6'11, he needs to hit the boards a little harder than he does, but his 13 points and 7 rebounds per is respectable in an offense that caters to balance. I wouldn't be surprised if he stays in school another year.
- Stefon Jackson - The 6'5 shooting guard fits his title well. He is a shooter for sure. His offensive skills have him scoring a robust 23 points per game. If only he could shoot better than 30% from three point range.
- Al Farouq Aminu - I agree with Jack Cobra on this kid. He is a beast and I enjoy watching him run the court, because it seems like he is just waiting to do something spectacular.
Guys that I don't like:
- Any Duke player - Gerald Henderson, Kyle Singler, Jon Scheyer (spelling?), etc...will not be good NBA players. Although, Henderson is the most athletic out of the bunch and could stay around the league for longer than he should; just like former Dukie Dahntay Jones.
- Robert Vaden - It seems like Vaden has been in college for 8 years now. His 0-for-17 shooting performance last night was an amazing example of his not so quality shooting skills. A career in the NBDL or overseas is most likely in his future.
- Any SEC player not named Patrick Patterson - I honestly couldn't tell you more than five guys that are in the SEC right now. Is it me or has this conference gone down in the quality of players they are recruiting? Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, and several other schools are stuck in a transition phase that has left the talent pool bare at the top. I'm sure in a few years that this conference will have the players once again, but for now, everyone should STAY IN SCHOOL!
- Luke Harangody - I almost threw in the Big East with the SEC, but the Big East actually has some talent coming through the ranks right now. Harangody is one of those guys, but he is also one of those guys that is a pretty good college player that will never make it in the NBA. If Tyler Hansbrough is a poor man's Tom Chambers, then Harangody is a poorer man's Matt Bullard.
Guys that MIGHT surprise me:
- Ricky Rubio - never seen him play, but I hear things...I hear things. Next Tony Parker??
- Lester Hudson - we all know he can score, but what else is he willing to do to make it. Next Eddie House??
- Tyreese Rice - the lefty, scoring point guard has the skills and the shooting ability to make it in the NBA. I just wonder if he has the work ethic. Next Nick Van Exel??
Well, there you have it. I managed to do a whole list of prospects without mentioning an Arizona Wildcat. It was difficult, but I made it through. Let me know what you think and throw some names out there that you like, dislike, or the other!

He is pretty Charmin-esque, which is a reason I think he will stay in school another year.
There are the times that he plays like that kind of toilet paper you find at school or the office though...real rough and might cut you with the right angle.

I heard Daye was softer than Charmin.
