For the first game after the All-Star break, I half expected Indiana to come out flat and get spanked by solid Philadelphia team.  I was pretty pleased with the final outcome though.  Indiana was up by 20 in the first half, but quickly the lead was down to seven points.  The Pacers did make a quick little spurt before the half and extended the lead back up to 11 points though.

The second half was weird.  One team would go on a run, then the other.  Back and forth with mini-runs for the rest of the game.  The 76ers were on one when Danny Granger took the ball on a fast break and was fouled by Andre Miller.  Granger took exception and charged at Miller and was given a T.  The foul was hard and probably uneccessary, but it wasn't dirty in my opinion.  It was just one of those plays that happen on a fast break when you don't want to give up an easy bucket.  I think Granger realized that after a few minutes of cooling down his temper, but then he heated up on his shot.  From that point on, Indiana was basically in control the rest of the way.

As a general fan of the game of basketball, I loved watching Iggy and Thad Young on their fast break opportunities.  The possibilities are endless when they are out front!  Also, during the telecast, a stat was shown that showed rookie scoring performances per 48 minutes.  Number two on that list...Marreese Speights.  Number four...Roy Hibbert.  I would have liked to have seen more of a battle between those two last night.

Indiana is now 22-33 and will play Charlotte this evening.  The Bobcats are terrible, but they always play the Pacers tough.  I hate it!!
