This past weekend, I found myself glued to the couch due to A) having a cold, B) studying for a test, and C) I burnt the crap out of my lip while in a Nyquil induced trance. While laying on the couch, I was able to watch what seemed like 1,000 hours of basketball, which I loved. I feel like I got enough practice time in to prepare for March Madness. However, I will be sure to practice some more in the coming days.
Indiana Pacers: They won two games over the weekend against the T-Wolves and the Bulls, without Danny Granger and Mike Dunleavy. It was a pleasant surprise to see the team play the way they did, but I am not expecting them to maintain that high level of play. Either way, they play the Knicks tonight, Memphis on Wednesday, and Boston on Friday. I think they can steal two of those games this week.
IU vs PU: I didn't expect much out of this rivalry game and I got what I expected. Purdue isn't really that good now that I think about it. For being the 21st ranked team in the country, I see a lot of holes in their game. Maybe it was just that they were playing IU, but still, IU isn't that good, they just play hard.
NBA Stars: LBJ, Dwight Howard, Dwayne Wade, and Steve Blake(??) were big time this weekend. It's amazing to me that James and Howard are both only 23 years old. Down right sickening really.
The Brothers Curry: I was talking to Kelper about how I wanted to watch Seth Curry play for Liberty when he informed me that the game had already been played. Damn 11am start times and Nyquil! However, I did get to watch older brother Stephen play against Butler. He was not impressive, mainly due to Butler's pesky D and the fact that his ankle looked like it was hampering him.
Blake Griffin got knocked the *^$# out: Was it just me or did it seem like Griffin got hit by a young Mike Tyson. I know getting knocked in the face with an elbow hurts, but wow. I guess if I were to ever get in a fight with him, I would know that my mini-fists of fury could actually work on his glass jaw.
Stefon Jackson is good: The skinny guard from UTEP is a pure scoring machine. I haven't been able to see many of his games, because he plays for a smaller school, but he was sure fun to watch in the Miners game against Memphis on Saturday.
