Now that the seemingly never-ending Manny Ramirez saga has ended in his signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers, I can start to feel better about my fantasy baseball team.  I kept Manny as one of my five keepers from last season, knowing that he was headed into free agency.  I didn't think it would take this long to get a deal done.

But, I'm really not writing this because I was worried about my fantasy baseball team, I am writing this because I think that people are giving Manny a hard time for no reason.  The people that chide athletes for getting paid to "play a game" are the same ones giving him a hard time for playing the game like a game. 

To actually see a player enjoying his time on the field is a refreshing thing to me.  I know that some of his antics can wear thin, but here is a guy who is one of the best players in baseball playing like most of us did when we were playing in our backyards or at the park. 

So, while Tim McCarver is trying his best to bash Manny for not playing the game like the gamers of his era (McCarver sucks by the way), I'll be kicking back and laughing with every Man-tic (Manny + antic = Man-tic) that I see on Baseball Tonight or Sportscenter. 

Who really has more fun than Manny out there?  I can't think of many if any at all.
