I have to say, when Danny Granger and Mike Dunleavy went down with injuries, I was expecting the team to sink quicker than the Titanic.  Well, I am pleased to say that I was wrong on that thought.

The team has played quite well since the news of losing their top two scorers came down.  Leading the way are Jarrett Jack and Troy Murphy.  Jack has averaged 22 points and 5 assists a game, while shooting 53% from the floor the last five games.  Murphy is averaging 20 points and an amazing 17.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 48% from the floor in that same time span.  I have to say it again...20 points and 17.6 rebounds PER GAME.  Are you kidding me?  Murphy is playing his own version of "Altered Beast" and he is in full werewolf mode right now.

After the Pacers defeated the Denver Nuggets last night, the team moved back to 10 games under .500 with a record of 26-36.  That puts them at three games behind Milwaukee for the 8th seed in the East.  That also gives Indiana the distinction of beating all of the division leaders in the NBA, except San Antonio...quite a neat little feat for the season.

This week has the Pacers on the road against Sacramento, Portland, and the Clippers.  I think that they can win all three, but I would expect them to come away with two out of three for the week.

I really torn right now.  Do I want this team to keep winning and possibly come up a game or two short of the playoffs?  OR...Do I want this team to lose and get the best possible draft position?  AHHHHHHHHHHH
