We have given you our first round picks and our draft sleepers.  Now, we are going to focus on the Colts' potential draft picks.  In order to decide who the Colts should select on Saturday, we first determined their team needs.

I said the Colts main needs are (in order of priority):  DT, LB, WR/RB, OL, while Bruce Paine went with WR, DT, RB, LB.  As you can see, we have the same needs, but with different levels of importance.

Round 1:

GM's Pick BP's Pick
Peria Jerry - DT Hakeem Nicks - WR

Round 2:

Ramses Barden - WR

Ron Brace - DT

Round 3:

Rashad Jennings - RB Rashad Jennings - RB

Round 4:

Tyrone McKenzie - LB Mike Teel - QB - Rutgers

Round 4 - Compensatory Pick:

Dorell Scott - DT Morgan Trent - CB Michigan

Round 5:

Louis Vasquez - OG Antonio Appleby - ILB - Virginia

Round 6:

Frantz Joseph - LB Antonio Dixon - Miami

Round 7:

Joel Bell - OT Sean Sester - OT - Purdue

As you can see, we both think that the Colts will address the DT and WR needs with their first two picks.  I have Peria Jerry (DT) going in the first round, while BP has Hakeem Nicks (WR).  Paine has had a severe man crush on Nicks since the end of the season, which is equal to his man crush he had on Mike Hart.

In the third round we both feel that the Colts will take Rashad Jennings, RB, out of Liberty.  He would be a great change of pace back and could be like a Darren Sproles type back for us.

I went with more defense in the fourth round, but Bruce really threw a wrench in the gears with the selection of Mike Teel, QB, out of Rutgers.  This is a pretty interesting pick to me, because the Colts have not had a third QB on the depth chart for a few seasons.  Now that Hunter Smith is signed to the Redskins, I think this could be a possibility.

To round out the picks, I went with two offensive linemen, which the Colts have been great at adding in the later rounds of the draft.  Louis Vasquez has had a lot of experience in the pass protection part of the game, so he should be able to help out in that area.

Overall, I don't expect too much excitement from the Colts on draft day, as usual.

I wouldn't mind us trading up to get either our WR or our DT, but again, I wouldn't expect that out of the War Room on Saturday.
