Why is it during every holiday weekend, a crap load of stuff happens? I think it is because there is no way for me to find a computer to sit down at and type anything up for more than two minutes at a time, so I have to try and remember everything.
Golf:
What a fun Masters this was. I am glad that Tiger and Phil both fell short in the end. It is good for the game to see some other guys win and to have three in contention was absolutely thrilling. I was sort of hoping that Shingo Katayama could push his way up the board and get into the playoff too, but he fell a couple strokes short of that.
Pacers:
Well, the playoffs aren't going to happen, but that isn't so bad. Brandon Rush and Josh McRoberts got a lot of extra time this past week and I think that will help them for next season. Rush will most likely be the starter at the two-guard spot since Mike Dunleavy will be out until probably next January with his knee issues.
The next steps for the Pacers is to figure out which free agents they are going to keep and who they are going to let walk. Then, it is to the lottery selection and the draft after that. Will they pick up a decent pick or maybe trade for another piece to the puzzle? This summer should be just as interesting as last summer.
Arizona Wildcats:
Picked up 1 1/2 commits this weekend. Sean Miller pulled in a Top 100 Center from Florida and got a big MAYBE from Top 100 Forward, Solomon Hill. Both should be starters come the fall. Miller still has a few players to grab for next season, so I will be interested in seeing who he can sway into coming to Tucson.
NFL Draft:
It is quickly approaching and I am almost overwhelmed with how fast it is getting here. Bruce Paine and I will have a joint venture up on here and on Cobra Brigade in the next week or so, so look for that. We will also then do just a Colts draft plan as well. Stick around.
