After the NBA draft last week, there are still some questions to be answered with the current Pacers roster.  First, let's take a look at the roster and then we will get to the questions.

PG:  TJ Ford (expiring contract) - AJ Price (injured for most of the season)
SG:  Brandon Rush - Paul George - Dahntay Jones
SF:  Danny Granger - Mike Dunleavy (expiring contract)
PF:  Troy Murphy (expiring contract) - Tyler Hansbrough - Josh McRoberts (expiring contract)
C: Roy Hibbert, Jeff Foster (expiring contract) - Solomon Jones (expiring contract)

2nd round picks:  Lance Stephenson - Magnum Rolle

The glaring need for this team right now is a PG.  It doesn't matter if it is a starter or a backup, another PG is needed on this roster.  So, how will they bring one/two point guards in before the season starts?

Option 1: Trade - a few trade rumors were flying on draft night, but nothing materialized.  Maybe Larry Bird was asking for too much back or not willing to give up enough.  Is there anyone out there looking for wing players or bigs, or a package of both?  It looks like most teams are going to wait to see what happens in free agency before any other moves are made.

Option 2: Free Agency - with several serviceable guards in free agency this summer, the Pacers will most likely try to sign one to a deal similar to what Earl Watson got last year.  There are a few guys that make sense for the Pacers, but most of the bigger names will opt to go to a winner.  One thing the Pacers can guarantee is a chance at a starting job, which some free agents will gladly jump on.

As of now, the only players that appear to be locks to be on this roster come time for the season to start are Danny Granger, Paul George, Tyler Hansbrough, and Roy Hibbert.  Everyone else looks to be fair game on the trade market.
