Pacers' fans haven't had this much to be excited about since the beginning of the season that quickly ended with "The Brawl." That team looked like they were a championship contender and that was the beginning of the end for the franchise that I have grown to love.
Larry Bird quickly energized a dwindling Indiana fan base with this trade though. Collison can be a stud in this league for a long time, but he is young, so fans need to be patient as he learns on the fly this season.
Along with Collison, the Pacers took on James Posey as well, as solid veteran, perimeter defender. How much will he play? Not sure that he fits into the plans for this team, this year. Maybe he is bought out.
If Posey isn't bought out, that leads me to assume the Pacers aren't done dealing as they are now thin up front after Troy Murphy was sent to New Jersey as part of the four team trade. I will miss Murph-Dirt's double-doubles for sure. Murphy just seemed like a cool guy to be around, which are the kind of players that fans gravitate to and cheer harder for.
There were rumors after the trade was announced that that Pacers wanted to buyout TJ Ford's $8.5mil contract for only $5mil. Ford was apparently not interested in that at all and I don't blame him. He picked up his player option this year, so why would he leave $3.5mil on the table?
I've been pretty tough on Bird, as he has deserved a lot of criticism, but this trade makes me want to give him a hug!

Thanks. Glad to have you on board!
Who do you think would be a good fit at the 4 for us?
I'd like them to try to go big, get a Josh Smith or Al Horford, but thats thinking unrealistically... I am not a big fan of Louis Amundson (as Stein reported)... but i'd like to see what Hansbrough and Rolle can do with big minutes. (if tyler stays healthy obviously)... and either try to spend big money on a PF next summer and get another lottery pick to go with our youth, or trade the 1st pick for a PF. I love this team but i don't think their more then a 7-8th seed at the most and that will probably get you swept in the first round. I truly think the 2011/2012 is our year to contend for a top 4 spot but i do agree getting playoff experience would be great for them, but, getting a Jared Sullinger or Mason Plumlee would also come in handy...
I agree with most of your postings, essp. this one, i have been very tough on Bird but he proved me wrong by getting Posey and Collison for Murphy.
It's good to see this information in your article.
There are belstaff jackets unusual preferential benefit, moreover the quality is also very good.I come this belstaff outlet wholesale frequently.

I read this Article occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just wondering if you get a lot of spam comments? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can advise? I get so much lately it's driving me mad so any assistance is very much appreciated.

Just stumbled onto your blog tonight and read several of your Pacers stuff. Awesome stuff, i hope to be reading this for the rest of the summer and into the season. I agree with most of your postings, essp. this one, i have been very tough on Bird but he proved me wrong by getting Posey and Collison for Murphy. I still think they are a elite PF away from being a top 4 team in the east so we'll see if he can hit magic a second time but i like where we are headed.
